In July 2024 we travelled to Arnprior, Ontario for honeymoon #10. After the short drive from Ottawa, we checked in at the McNamara House B&B and immediately enjoyed the warm hospitality of our hosts Mary Ann and Andy. After checking out a number of quaint shops, we stopped to have ice cream at Mallard’s Milk Bar before enjoying a glass of wine on the Urban Angus Steak and Wine patio followed by a delicious dinner at Krave Bistro. The next morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at our B&B before setting off on a very warm walk that took us along the Madawaska river (where we watched a few Dragonboat races) and through the amazing Gillie’s Grove old growth forest on our way downtown. We stopped for a much needed and refreshing drink at the cafe in KOTi 28 before checking out a few shops and sharing a smash burger at King of Munchies TexMex Smash House. We then happily donned our rented shoes for an hour of 5 pin bowling at Steelheads & Strikes – one of Canada’s oldest bowling alleys, as featured in episode 3 in Bryan Baeumler’s first season of Bryan’s All In.
